For call of duty: black ops ii on the pc, a gamefaqs message board topic titled "unknown soldier?".. I was having the exact same problem as you guys until i found out that for some stupid reason black ops doesn't allow names with less than 4 alpha numeric characters. just use steam to change your name to something with at least 4 characters and the stupid unknown soldier issue should go away.. In black ops, i appear as unknown solder, even though my steam name is el doggo3612, please help! 2 answers last reply oct 10, 2016 more about problem unknown soldier black ops.
