10:54am edt - continuing my whirlwind trip of new york city, today i'm here at google's annual "made by google" event. the event has become the company's traditional venue for launching their in. The verge is on the ground for google's october 4th event, where the company is expected to announce its pixel 2 and pixel 2 xl phones, at least one new google home model, a new high-end chromebook called the pixelbook, and a new daydream vr headset..
